Beards and Bonnets Contest

(Saturday, September 24, 2011)

Among the many exciting and creative activities being organized by the CNP Homecoming Centennial committee, is the fun-filled Beards and Bonnets contest.

Open to people of all ages, the Bonnet contest invites you to let your imagination soar and create a prize winning bonnet. Enter to win in the “Most Creative”, “Most Colourful”, “Weirdest” or “Best in Show” category.  But, don’t hold back!  Arm yourself with glue gun, cut-outs, flowers, etc. and create a masterpiece you can enter into any or all categories.

The Beard competition can be no less creative. Snip, clip and mould your facial hair into a sight to behold in the “Most Creative”, “Best Colour”,  “Bushiest”, “Rookie”, and “Best In Show”.  With months to go before the event, there is still time to turn your face into a creative canvas for the work of art that could be your beard!!

Want to up the ante on your chance to win?  Enter with a partner in the Best Beard and Bonnet Couple.

The fun begins on Saturday Sept. 24th at the Albert Stella Arena from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.  Contestants are urged to register in advance by phoning the Crowsnest Museum at 403-563-5434 or emailing cnmuseum@shaw.ca
