Booking

Booking Your Tour

Bookings are first come, first serve. Please book early to ensure your programming.

If you have booked a program/tour and changes occur, please notify us as soon as possible. Changes to the coordination of your group may cause difficulties in specific provisions made for your programming and may also affect arrangements made for other groups visiting that day.

You may want to arrive 10 – 15 minutes early if your group will need time for organization or to use the facilities, etc.

During our winter season, we are not open to the public on Sundays, but will make arrangements for guided tours and education programs Tuesday through Saturday.

Fee Schedule:

$4.00 per youth or a minimum of $50.00 (for groups of less than 12 youth) per booking.

$2.00 per youth for each additional program requested.

Accommodating Groups:

For all programs a chaperone/supervisor to youth ratio of 1:6 is requested. We ask that chaperones remain with their group for the duration of the programming to assist in maintaining organization and control. Chaperones/supervisors at this ratio are at no charge. Regular admission applies for each additional adult or chaperone over and above the ratio.

The Crowsnest Museum can accommodate large groups however we ask that these groups be divided into smaller ones prior to arriving, preferably a maximum of 30 youth in a group in order to ensure quality programming and participation.

Alternate activities within the Crowsnest Pass can be arranged in combination with our programming so that all of the large group participants are occupied during your stay. For example, we can arrange for each part of your group to visit the Museum and the Bellevue Underground Mine Tour on alternate times during an afternoon to give everyone the benefit of both experiences. Contact us and we can assist with this scheduling and travel time between facilities.

Special Needs:

When you book your program, please mention anything about your group that will help the program run smoothly. Please inform us of special needs to be accommodated in your group. We welcome suggestions of how we can adapt accordingly.

Gift Shop:

Allow time following your programming to visit our “Gazebo Giftshop”. We have old fashioned candy sticks, coal candy, old fashioned toys, commemorative coins and more. Something of interest for everyone, young and old.

We do ask that chaperones accompany their groups while they are visiting the gift shop.

Lunch:

Bringing a bag lunch? Don’t know where to stop?

The Crowsnest Museum has a large yard area, part of our “Artifact Garden” equipped with shelters and picnic tables. Booked groups are invited to take advantage of our facilities if need be.

With inclement weather, we may be able to accommodate your group in our gymnasium. Ask for details.

Payment:

Payment can be made upon arrival or you can request to be invoiced. The Museum accepts cash, cheques (made payable to the Crowsnest Museum), Master Card, Visa, debit card or purchase order. The Museum does not accept memberships for tours/educational programming.
