Crowsnest Pass Specific Resources:

The Crowsnest Pass Heritage Initiative has been publishing e-newsletters quarterly since 2010, each issue covers a new and different piece of the past. Access them all for free.

Online database of information regarding the Hillcrest Mine Disaster and the miners killed in that disaster.

Digital Collections & Archives:

Alberta Heritage Digitization Project through the University of Calgary. Includes architectural archives, historic maps, military history, early Alberta newspapers; access to Glenbow Library and Archives; also includes records, photos, art, folklore, and more. 

Online collections locally-developed by the Digitization Team at University of Lethbridge Library. Includes Lethbridge and Regional history, maps and data, natural history, Blackfoot & First Nations history, and local newspapers.

Online bibliography of books, pamphlets, and other materials related to the development of the Prairies, as well as a searchable full-text collection. Contains approximately 7,500 digitized books, over 66,000 newspaper issues (4.8 million articles!), 16,000 postcards, and 1,000 maps.

Publicly accessible Blackfoot-centric online library, including photos, documents, audio and video records meant to honor akaitapii.

University Research Repositories:

University of Alberta's open access digital archive and includes the intellectual output of the University.

University of Calgary's online research repository which contains materials including theses, dissertations, scholarly journal articles, and more.

University of Lethbridge's open access research repository. It contains a collection of materials related to research and teaching produced by the academic community.
