Volunteer Appreciation Week 2021

As a non-profit we rely extensively on our dedicated and passionate volunteers and board members at the Crowsnest Museum. Whether we are open to the public or closed due to a pandemic, we could not operate without their commitment and devotion. All our volunteers devote countless hours helping with maintenance at and around the museum, handling the research requests we receive online, assisting with digitizing the collections, or events like our annual Harvest of Memories that went virtual last year - we appreciate all they do.

In 2017 one of our volunteers, Martha Anderson was presented the Volunteer of the Year award by Southwest Service & Tourism Awards. Martha was a volunteer at the Museum for 7 years and was working in the archives 5 days a week helping with the digitization and organization of all our photographic records. Martha and her husband Brian recently moved back to Edmonton, but we dearly miss her presence around the museum.

Each of our volunteers play an integral role in helping the museum fulfill its mission to protect, preserve, and portray the cultural heritage of Crowsnest Pass and its people to ensure the knowledge of the past enriches the lives of present and future generations.

Due to Covid-19, we are not currently seeking any new volunteers, however if you would like to help out and support the Crowsnest Museum please consider donating online or purchasing a membership from our online gift shop.
